Think of these like your daily English basics: “Hello”, “How are you?”, “Thank you”, “What time is it?”

  • Meeting someone:

Nǐ hǎo! Nǐ jiào shénme míngzi?
    (Hello! What is your name?)

  • Replying:

Wǒ jiào Aruna. Hěn gāoxìng rènshi nǐ.
(My name is Aruna. Nice to meet you.)

    (See you tomorrow! Goodbye!)

Indian context tip:
Use these like you use “Hello”, “Sorry”, “Thank you”, “See you tomorrow” in daily life.

Section 4: Don’t Try to Memorise All at Once

❌ Don’t sit and cram all 20 in one go.
✅ Do this instead:

  • Pick 5 sentences

  • Say them 3 times

  • Use them in 1 small dialogue

  • Come back and repeat tomorrow

Small steps = strong speaking confidence.

Section 5: Today’s Practice

Your Day 5 Task:

  1. Read all 20 sentences once slowly.

  2. Choose any 5 sentences and:

    • Say them aloud 3 times

  3. Practice this mini talk:

    Nǐ jiào shénme míngzi?
    Wǒ jiào (your name).
    Hěn gāoxìng rènshi nǐ.
    Zàijiàn!

  4. Record your voice and listen:

    • Are you clear?

    • Are you rushing? (If yes, slow down.)
